Accounts Payable functions include the following: Verifies, enters, and processes data from all vendor invoices and check requests; performs duties which result in issuance and distribution of all non-payroll checks; maintains manual and electronic filing and record retention systems associated with these functions. As an administrative control function, the unit operates with the following objectives in mind: helps assure the completeness, existence and accuracy of those requisitioning/disbursing processes relevant to the above functions. Responsible for the consis tent application of relevant controls and policies.

The Payroll unit is responsible for providing a variety of services in the area of general payroll management. It serves as a collection point for input and processing of salaried and non-salaried appointments and related staff benefit programs.
